Problems in Sonar 8.5 with Avid M-Box at 48 khz

Hello,

I have a strange problem with my set up. I am running Sonar 8.5 64 bit Windows 7, Intel Core Duo 2.53 Ghz with 8 gigs Ram. When I load an old project which was recorded at 44 kHz everything sounds fine, Also my VST instruments work fine. When I change sample rate to 48 khz and load an old project recorded at 48 khz/24 bit (via MOTU) the playback is off (slower and pitched low) even when Sonar is set to 48khz/24 bit . Also, my vst /midi does not work. Avid is set 48kHz , so is sonar 48 khz and 324 bit.
What should I do?

    when you open a project that was recorded at 44.1 sonar will not automatically change the sample rate to 48 if you have the option checked to set up NEW projects at 48.  it still will import the project at 44.1.  and if you have the m-box set to 48 then you're going to have a mis-match on sample rates causing this problem.

    when you open your project look at the bottom right hand corner of sonar and it will tell you what sampling rate the project actually IS.  look there and see if it says it's 44.1.  if it does then you have a sample rate mismatch problem if your m-box is set to 48.

    when the off tempo/pitch playback occurs the m box is set to 48 and project shows 48/24. when i open file  that shows 44.1 it plays correctly. how do i change set up ne project in desired rate?
