Problems with OX 10.11 recognising V Studio 20

Hi, 
 
I have used V Studio 20 on a PC before and assumed when I switched to a Macbook Air that I couldn't use it.  I saw today when I was looking to sell my VS 20 that I can download drivers and plug ins to use VS 20 through Garageband.  I've now successfully downloaded the drivers but I cannot get any of the audio outputs to read VS 20 and when I plug in the hardware does not light, indicating that the Mac does not recognise the hardware.
