Problems with bouncing synths.

Hi guys, me again. I am struggling with getting my Sound Center synths to accept a midi file and to freeze and/or bounce. Example, I have a flute part in a midi song I'm recording, I have it going to a Sound Center Alto Flute 1, it plays, it shows signal on the synth track. When I attempt to freeze the synth track or bounce it, the volume on the Sound Center Alto Flute 1 window drops to ZERO, or actually it shows -138.50 or what ever it decides. I can see the notes play on the keyboard in the Sound Center window, but nothing is on the synth track. My MIDI track INPUT says OMNI, my OUTPUT says Sound Center 3, INPUT on the synth track is All Input Omni, the OUTPUT is at my Quad Capture. I have audio as long as I don't try and freeze or bounce the track.
When I first got MC6, I went through all the tutorials, I have all of them. I could simply insert a synth from the Sound Center or the Studio Instruments, drag my MIDI track to it, freeze it, bounce it to an audio track, no problems, quick and easy. Now it is a fight to get any of  the synth's to take anything let alone freeze and bounce or record.

Are you SELECTING the track you want to bounce?  You have to double click on the track so it changes color AND be sure it includes ALL the clips in that track. If not....the bounce will be very fast and you end up with a new track (on a bounce) that is a flat line. On a freeze, nothing freezes since nothing was selected.

Selecting is very critical.   I sometimes do the same thing even now...... I forget to select the track or all the clips in a track.

On a freeze, which track do I select? I would assume the synth track, or is it the MIDI track? Same with a bounce, I was understanding that you had to "Solo" both the MIDI and the Synth tracks and then hit bounce to have it go to a new Audio track, yes or no? Is this why the volume in the Sound Center window go completely off? I will look and make sure it says Entire clip also, I thought I had that done, but I will double check. Wished I could catch you when I'm actually working on this stuff.  Thanks.

I normally select BOTH tracks to bounce or freeze.... but I think it is the audio track with the synth in it that counts.

to select both tracks hit control and hold while selecting.

Thanks I'll give it a try. By the way, life is so much easier with the Quad-Capture than with the EMu.

For the life of me, I cannot get that 8 bars of MIDI to bounce, freeze, or nothing. I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong, but 11 hours is enough. I ran the MIDI signal through my SD-50 to the Quad-Capture from the headphone jack and got it to an audio track. good enough for now. Moving on.
