Problems with latency in soft synths.... It might be I'm just a newbie..
Hi everybody,
I'm having a Project that is really quite simple. It has 18 tracks of mono audio , 4 tracks of stereo audio.
I haven't really that many plugins, and I mainly use the BT compressor from nomad factory and the LP eq on my tracks.
For reverb I use to sub Groups for long and short With the REmatrix.
The problem is now that I am going to record some simple pianotracks using the TruePiano plugin, I get a long latency on the left channel and an even longer on the right, and this is present even With no playback of the audio. I think it can be as long as half a second.
When I turn of all FX, the latency is normal.
It annoys me because I've recently purchased a decent DAW With enough Power (I thought) to handle simple Projects as the ones I'm doing.
It can be that I haven't tweaked my settings good enough for my computer, but unfortunaly I'm a bit rusty now on all this computer Tech, so it might be that the problem is due to my lack of tweaking.
Any help and tips would be highly appreciated.
