Process -> Apply effect -> ... is greyed in X1

Hi,

in Sonar 8.5.3, I can select some midi notes in piano roll view and use in the top menu "Process -> Apply effect -> MIDI effect -> Velocity". In X1, I can't. I can use Velocity on a whole midi clip or a part of a clip (right click -> Apply effect process ->...) but it's less easy to select notes by selecting a part of a clip than doing it in piano roll view.

Is it me or it's broken in X1 ?

In X1 Process > Apply Effect > MIDI Effects can only apply an effect that's already in the FX bin for of the MIDI track. This worked the same way in 8.5.3, but there was also an option to apply them directly by Process > MIDI FX. I think the old direct method is gone.
