Prochannel EQ

Just wanted to say the EQ in Prochannel rules. Haha. I've ignored it for so long and now that I'm using it, it's just awesome.

That's all. :-)

I quite agree!  My go-to EQ had been the UAD-2 Cambridge parametric EQ.  The ProChannel EQ does everything just as well, and throws in the RTA image as a bonus.  Now the ProChannel EQ is the go-to.

Then you're now ready for SONAR EQ graduate studies! Check out the part about using noise to test out EQs, then go to the end for the section on the QuadCurve.

I just wish it wasn't stuck inside the PC only. So often I want it in the FX bin.

Just out of curiosity, what can you do with it in the FX bin that you can't do with it in the PC?

I actually wish I could put multiples in the PC chain.

Was checking this out Craig... Good stuff!  Didn't realize that the Sonitus Surround has a tone generator in it.  So now I'm a'tinkerin!

It's not about what it can or can't do for me. It's about workflow. I don't use the PC as much as some because I find it cumbersome. It pulls me out of the music and into the interface.

Often I'm working and in a groove, and I know that I'd like to just insert an EQ into the FX bin at a certain location, and I KNOW it's the Quad curve I want. I also know that I'm going to have to open up the PC, move things around, etc. just to get it where I want it.

Don't get me wrong. I love the PC when I have a place for it. When I don't... I hate that I can't use my favorite EQ because it's "locked in the PC cabinet".

I think it was a poor decision to limit one of the best EQ's in the industry to the PC.
