Maybe... probably just the same old DSP that has been used on compressors and EQs for years.
Cakewalk has been asked repeatedly to provide details and the official answer is "I think it sounds real good."
Cakewalk has been asked to brag about what ever they did that makes Pro Channel special and the official answer is "I think it sounds real good."
If it used Composite Object Modeling to emulate the make believe hardware it seems like the word COSM would be all over it.
