Production tips/tricks/secrets compilation

Hi,
I thought it would be interesting and useful to make a compilation of production tips/tricks/secrets/goodies, that you can add to your arsenal. These can often be worth gold.
Is anyone else interested in this? feel free to post :-) hoping it's okay to post a collection of links.

    This is actually not a bad idea, i think there have been quite a few posts in the past that have linked or mentioned various tips/tricks and such, there are literally thousands on youtube alone it is a real jungle and can lead a person in all kinds of diirections sometimes bad advice and ofcourse good..i suggest to build on your idea that users own personal tips from there own projects could be posted here, a sort of "swap" tips service if you like?

    Great idea, and probably make it a sticky thread too (i.e. pinned to the to of this forum)

    This is a good idea!  I think the "sticky" post would be excellent. Ironically, I lack a good pointer for a audio idea at the moment.  I'll try to get back with one.
     
       Sidebar:  That vocal swarm trick described above is quite interesting.  There are some powerful implications for getting people to listen to a piece of music (just for instance).

    I would also suggest reviewing the weekly tips Craig Anderton posts in the Sonar forum.  There are all kinds of REALLY useful tips there, with additional input from others replying to and adding to his posts.
