Project 5 Plug-in Drums in PSEQ

...I'm wondering as I price various drums plugins whether, like Velocity, the instrument names (or the cell names or whatever) appear in PSEQ on the lefthand side.

Anybody that uses BFD, DKFH, DKFH2, Battery, or DR-008 *within Project 5* please answer for any plugins you have. :-) thanks.

...interestingly...BFD loads the keys of the different grooves...but not the individual snare, kick, hh, etc. names....they're mapped to general midi...so, it's not difficult to sort out.....it's actually really helpful that it loads the groove numbers into p-seq....RMIV doesn't load the kit part names in at all...I don't know about DKFH< DR-008 or Battery....

    a very good question

no, Velocity's the only one, I know of. I assume it's an internal special arrangement

    I was hoping for more
    It makes programming much easier

DR-008 has two sequencer types you can insert in a cell and populate with lines for the cells in the kit -- then it knows those names within its sequencer

This may very well be a stupid question, but what are 'groove numbers'? :-)

Darn. It would make it SO much easier. Thank for the answer, that was unfortunately what I was expecting.

In BFD...there is a menu of pre mad midi grooves in tons of different styles...that can be loaded into bfd....so that you have the option of either playing single hits...to the GM standard...or by triggering let's say F#3 you get "groove pattern one", G3 plays "pattern two"...etc...you can also drag and drop the groove patterns into Sonar's track view...(can't do this in P5, tho)....it's very cool and flexible...and sounds amazing

    hope that helps
