Project 5 and Record + Reason
I was wondering whether anyone uses Record with Project 5 to master their tracks considering P5 is limited in this area? Outputting my VST's to something like Record appeals to me whilst maintaining my workflow in P5 with the added bonus of all of Reasons instrument racks with Rewire seems to be a interesting way to setup a track....

I do have all 3 and didn't / haven't really got into project5 as I was learning sonar. (I only got record because it was cheap as an upgrade tbh) p5 and reason were pretty much rivals I guess. you do get the advantage of all 3 that way. I wasn't even sure record would work with anything besides reason. interesting idea though, but a lot of p5 users are using a version of sonar with it I guess and of course the 32 bit limit on this stuff.

P5 has such an easy sequencer and my upgrade path to Reason Record is cheaper than Sonar because I have Reason already. I have Logic but for some reason P5 still appeals to me as I tend to make different types of tracks with it, faster (no dealing with all the effects and buttons). Adding reason 5 and record might provide some opportunities to be creative with my sounds considering its wide user base and sounds whilst still using P5

I might try it at some point when I have a bit of free time.. BUT it all has to fit in the 4 gb ram , since it's not 64 bit

Not sure what you mean, but I started around 2005 so you could say relatively new. Electronic music seemed to have become more affordable around then for a beginner to dabble in. Lots of fun.

I mean , now it's a lot more easier to set things up / make music :) well yer, in 2000.. the price of things were coming down.. but in 1990.. things were a lot more expensive.. for electronic music but a lot of the roland things went up in price at a point. and prolly go for a lot now 808 / 909 / 303 / 101 etc

Seems strange they don't rerelease those iconic instruments esp. the 303. They could make a mint....

I'm quite surprised of the sound that's coming out of those units! Do you have any tracks done using one..

So there has been 737 views so far and no one has rewired Reason 5 + Record and Project 5 together? Maybe it can't be done....

I haven't got my project 5 disk here to even attempt it.. and I'm not doing a 50 mile round trip to find out :) it's a tricky one as most people who have p5 are probably sonar users now, and the only reason why I got record was i got a silly priced upgrade offer on
