Project files after moving MC

Hi - I've just re-installed MC5 onto a new PC and moved a project file with audio over. When I open it up everything is echoing - all tracks and even the system sounds (warning beeps etc). Can anyone tell me how I might be able to fix this? Regards, Steve

What sound card are you using?
It may have a default reverb or echo.

It's a Delta 1010LT - I moved it from the old PC as well.

Check the drivers it uses. Go to it's website and check for driver updates.

Be sure it is using the correct driver.

Make sure only one sound card is being used.

does it echo only in MC?  if so, turn off INPUT ECHO on your tracks.

also, check your cabling and make sure you don't have a feedback loop.

I'll do that later thanks. It's a strange thing - it only echoes with this one project file open, but when it is open anything I play echoes - the system sounds - even if I open up itunes while the project and MC are open, the echo transfers to itunes. As soon as I close the file it stops.

that's really odd.  never heard of anything like that before.  what you do in a project shouldn't affect the output of iTunes or any other apps.

Hi - Well I found the problem, but why it was having that effect I don't know - and why it was affecting Windows media player and other unassociated programs doubly so! It was simply that the output for each channel had been changed to Master (from 'Line 1/2 M-Audio Delta 1010LT). It probably should have been obvious to check the output but I'm not terribly good at this stuff. Thanks for all the suggestions - hope the explanation makes more sense to you than me! :) Regards, Steve.
