Project lining up

Just a question.. Currently I'm using X2 or X3 for my current projects... but I remember back a few Sonar versions ago (maybe Sonar 7 or 8?) there was some sort of "timing" glitch with MIDI and you basically had to "start" or line up your projects severeal "measures" IN from the beginning of the timeline to circumvent/work around the timing issue.

I wonder if that issue has been addressed? Because I'm busier now and exporting more and more content from Sonar and with my projects starting around measure 10 on the timeline it's becoming a Pain in the behind to export and then "edit" or trim the resulting exported file to remove several seconds of silence from the beginning.  Is it safe to now start projects on the first measure or two?

Thanks

Some have long claimed that SONAR had issues starting from time zero, but it's never been a problem for me unless I needed setup time to send patch changes to external synths. But in the project that already has an offset, you can select from the beginning of the MIDI/audio, and SONAR will export the selected time range, leaving out the silent measures.
