Project5 And EZDrummer - What's the trick?

I've been trying to work with EZDrummer in Project5. More specifically with the Nashville EZX.

If I drag a midi loop from EZ into P5, the loops don't line up with the measures and the length is incorrect.

I use EZDrummer with Sonar all the time without any issues.

A search of the P5 forum showed some complaints about this behaviour, and 'work-arounds' were mentioned but not described.

Is there a way to get EZDrummer to work properly with Project5?

Its a known bug, that hopefully will be fixed in the next update, because it is rather annoying. Basically with the majority of drag and drop programs like Stylus RMX and EZ drummer, when you drag the loop its small amount of time out each time. Which over the space of a few bars throws it right out.

The workaround is to resize the pattern to a full bar in length. When you drag from the VSTi you will generate a pattern that will be immediately placed in your editor its at this point you will change the pattern length. For a 2 bar loop the size of this will be 2:4:938, you can see this in the editor just under the button that says Float. Double click on the time duration and type in the number bars you need and add 1. (your patterns start at bar 1 and not zero, so a 2 bar loop will need to be changed to 3:0:000[Edit- should read 3:1:000], just type 3 and return). If its 4:4:938 then you need to type 5, and so on.

    Hope that explains it.

Yes, that explains it very well.

    Thanks Stuart.
