Props to Groove 3

The day before Cakewalk folded, I purchased several Groove 3 videos, including a few more on Sonar.  I am moving on to another DAW (Cubase), so the Sonar videos were wasted money to me.

On a whim, I emailed their customer service, and explained what had happened, and asked if I could "swap" the Sonar videos for something else.

They responded almost immediately to me, said they heard about Cakewalk, and expressed their condolences.  Offered to swap any of the recently purchased Sonar videos for me.  They did so as soon as I requested something else.

Really cool of Groove 3 to do that.

    That's pretty cool!

I've always been happy with Groove3. Great products and great customer service. All at a fair price.

Whatever DAW you decide to move to as well you will find the Groove 3 has many great videos on it.  (Except Logic for example. And if its Logic visit another excellent training resource called Udemy. They have Logic very well covered there and they are very affordable too)  A good thing to do might be to get a Groove 3 pass for say a month or two and watch all of them.

If the DAW of choice is Studio One then Groove 3 has an extensive collection starting with Version 1.5 and working up to V2 and V3 of course.  Much better to sit down and do the learning work rather than post a whole lot of silly questions like Studio One cannot do this so how do I do it etc....

They all need to be watched too because much of the basics 101 that is covered in those early videos is not repeated later on with the subsequent ones.  Also you can stream them live to your computer (as well as download them of course) and if you can arrange it setup a second machine alongside your main DAW and run them side by side.  Organise the audio from both your main machine and the second machine to be monitored at the same time. That way you can start and stop etc and then practice as you go etc..

For me it’s Groove3 but also AskVideo (or MacProVideo as it’s know on planet Apple). They’ve got the best tuts in my book.
