Proud Papa

As some of you know, my son now works for Ubisoft on the Rocksmith product.

Rocksmith is not so much a Guitar Hero game as it is a Guitar & Bass learning tool. You can use any guitar with a pickup (using their supplied cable) into an X-Box, PC or Playstation 3. The upside is you learn the fingering of songs. The downside is you are not taught anything about scales or theory. But you do learn techniques like palm muting etc.

So, the other day my son submitted an original piece to be included in the "locked" songs section of the product. "Locked" is the term they use for "higher level" players. The product keeps track of your learning progress and when you achieve a high enough proficiency you are able to get to the "locked" songs.

His song was approved to be included. Yay!!!! That's what makes me a proud papa.

    Congrats!

(You're gonna give us the cheat codes for it, right?)
