Proud parent moment

My step-daughter sang and played guitar at church today - so proud!!! She played the new Taylor GS Mini she got for her Sweet 16 last month. We even talked her into letting us videotape it from our digital camera: http://youtu.be/uM4q_Q9XGYg

Thanks Reece! Well I got her started with about her first 6 chords and how to use a capo - from there she's pretty much on her own. I've tried to show her some more chords, but she knows enough to play about every Taylor Swift song so she's happy knowing 6 chords for the time being.

I just noticed that Lauren has a bunch of YouTube videos.

How long has she been playing and singing.

I guess I thought you were saying it was approximately 1 month.

I'm only asking because it seems like someone should be taking DNA samples to find out how she can seem so comfortable at playing and singing.

You did a great job with passing on the torch!

    best,
    mike

Thanks guys - yep I'm pretty proud!!

Mike - she got her Taylor last month, but she started playing guitar last summer. She's been singing forever though - I think my first recording of her singing an original song of hers was when she was 10. She doesn't get nervous at all about singing, but this was her first time playing guitar in front of more than about a dozen people (there were about 200 at each of the two services).
