Pugtones Christmas Tune-"Mary Christmas"

Mark sent this music to me about three years ago.  He said it was for his Mother, Mary.  When I started writing lyrics I thought of his Mother, my Mother and all Mothers everywhere.  My wife, Ruth does the narration.  It's the third year we posted this one.  I don't know if I'll ever write another Christmas tune.  Mark's inspiration pulled me into this one and I'll be eternally grateful. RICH ARIZMENDI (psalmist35) does the sax work at the end.  It's worth sticking around for. Merry Christmas To All.

Outstanding. When I first started to listen, I had to check if it was an original song. I am so pleased to see it is, as this is just way too cool. Great work Warren and Mark!

    Warren/Mark,
I remember this one very well.  Those are great lyrics Warren and a very heartfelt vocal performance.  Know-out job on the guitar and mix Mark.

Wow, that's a refreshing sound, I love this production, stripped back but powerful.

Very creative stuff and excellent performances all round.

One question - why did you put it in an instrumental genre on SC?

Hi Warren I loved your Christmas song , you both did a great job and what struck me the most was the message  .
Your message was right on target , its not the gifts that matter the most its the love we all share together with friends and family and most of all the one and only who allowed each of us to live here on earth .
I hardly pray at all but I did before the first Catheter precedure , days before I had this weird feeling inside something was heading in the wrong direction with my heart and the way I have been feeling for months .
In fact I even prepared and packed a bag for a longer stay in the hospital the night before I went in for the first Catheter checking for any blockage .
What I didn't expect was having a heart attack the next day on Christmas and almost dying from it in the hospital .

The next day I thought about what took place that day , I thought about that prayer asking for God to watch over me while in the hospital .
I'm not a church going person but I do believe in God in my own way and in my heart . I know God heard my prayer the day before the first precedure took place .
We never know how much life means to us untill we almost lose it and if I remember correctly didn't you have a heart attack years ago ?

Theres alot of love in your message , love for God and family and friends .

Thanks for sharing that message in your Christmas song - James

There are a lot of dimensions to this and it's well executed.  It's arrangements like this that remind me that I have no real imagination.  This is a clever production with excellent vocals and the instrumental work is really sweet, I like the far panning for this.

    Good job folks.

Warren, I'm late to this party, but I'm most impressed.  The arrangement, the melody, and the vocal were amazing.  Though I'm burnt on Christmas music by now, I'd like to hear this a few more times!  Well done!!
