Hmm... I gather there's an instrumental version, I think that might work for me a little better than the toe curling vocals...  I would guess Love Will Tear Us Apart would suit the form quite nicely, but it ain't punk.

Isn't "men behaving badly" redundant?

Indeed there is mate - the 'Deluxe' version of the album wot I bought has an extra CD wiv all the instrumental versions of the songs. Needless to say, I think this non-vocals CD will get more of an airing

As a side note, I heard an interview with Jah Wobble a couple of weeks ago. He mentioned that when he met the Pistols he was most impressed by Glen Matlock, really rates him as a bass player.

As far as I can tell mate, Glen seemed to write most of the music and John the lyrics (despite the fact that all the Pistols received writing credits).

It seems no coincidence that after him and then Lydon were fired, most of their output consisted of cover songs/adaptations, aside from a few originals written by Steve Jones.

For obvious commercial/image reasons, I don't think he was encouraged to be a 'musician' in the Pistols. His abilities were nonetheless always apparent, but shone through more when he formed The Rich Kids.

And he plays with his fingers and not a pick. Bapsi will tell you that is much more difficulter

Jeff, the 'extra content' on the Deluxe version is an extra CD with instrumental versions of all the songs.

London Calling songs like Wagner as an instrumental...this is very cool.

You see a top of the pops album from the 1970's with chirpy chirpy cheep cheep on it. That's your favourite album that is. You play it every day on your dansette record player.
