Purchasing V-Sudio less software?

I noticed that it is cheaper to buy the "complete" kit of the V-Studio including
console, interface, Sonar 8.5, and Rapture, than to purchase the console and interface alone.
I am a long time licensed user of Sonar and Rapture, and was thinking that I should avoid another serial #, when I purchase the V-Studio system soon.
If I did, How would that work with (2) licensed copies of Sonar and Rapture? Or do I simply ignore the newly acquired software, and continue to use my existing software.

Thanks.

If you already have SONAR 8.5, then you wouldn't need to use the software that comes with the V-Studio 700 system.

However, you would need to run your 8.5 installation again and this time do a custom install and choose only the V-Studio 700 options for the install.

Some of the newer 8.5 software (the hard discs that came with the V700) has the V 700 software on it. I don't know if you're using the downloaded 8.5 now or discs but it would be a good idea to do a clean install of 8.5 from the discs. Since you're setting up a new control system and interface. You can use either 8.5 version but the discs that came with the VS 700 will make it easier because they contain the V 700 software update. Once you do the firmware update, you'll be on your way to cooking.
