Q: burning cd, setting cue points?

Hey.

I'm trying to burn a cd, I have a long mixtape, 60 minutes, which includes many songs.

Is there a way to set in Nero (or in any other program), song starting points in the mixtape,
or do I have to cut manually the tracks, so I can skip between songs.

Sorry for bad english, hopefully you understand.

-Janne

It looks like you can burn a CD in Sonar, but you will have to cut the tracks.
If you have Cakewalk Pyro you should be able to burn a CD using DAO(Disk At Once) and a cue sheet.
Personally, I've been using Sony CD Architect.  You can create a CD using markers to set start and end points or you can use separate files.

    Good luck,

+1 for CDA. I'm currently in the middle of recording an album where the tracks seque into each other.

I simple align all of the finished tracks into one Sonar project, export the whole thing as a 16 bit dithered wav and let CDA do the rest.

It's so easy to set track markers, and you can zoom in as far as you want for precise alignment/track gaps.

If by any chance you are also planning to do audio for video work soon, take time to compare CD ARCHITECT with SONY VEGAS while you're at it...

CD architect now comes included with SOUND FORGE PRO. But, if you already own a previous version of the program without CD ARCH, it might be interesting to consider the video capabilities of SONY VEGAS PRO 10 (which includes red book cd-burning capabilities)

This is to optimize your budget for your "toolbox". There were good deals on VEGAS recently...

On the other hand, if you do not have SOUND FORGE, then go for that!
