Q re Virus pack for Zeta

I recorded to audio a couple of Virus presets and found that the majority of the wave is recorded under the zero line.

I thought it might be some DC offset problem, but running the resulting wave file in SoundForge and applying the DC offset process changed little.

The wave file sounds OK, and I'm really just wondering why this phenom occurs.
