Q1 - Interfacing Voiceworks/TC Helicon and Layla 24/96

I want to record vocals using ECHO Layla into X1.  Then route the vocal track audio through the VOICEWORKS for pitch correction, etc.  Had this working fine 8 years ago but can't seem to figure it out now.  Have tried S/PDIF connections and the balanced connections in the Sonar inputs/outputs but no success.  HELP PLEASE.
Thanks.
Larry

This is the way I've done it.

    1. Create a new track to record the corrected vocal to.
    2. Output the vocal track to an analog output on your interface.
    3. Run a cable from that output to the Voiceworks input.
    4. Connect the output of the Voiceworks to an input on your interface.
    5. Set the new track to the input you connected the Voiceworks to and set the output of this track to none.

Check all your levels. this should do it.

    Bob,
Thanks for the quick reply.  I believe I've done all of the above.  Have S/PDIF cables in and out. On the original vocal track I have output set to LEFT ECHO ASIO S/PDIF.  On the new track, the input is set as LEFT ECHO ASIO S/PDIF.  New track is armed for recording.  Nothing being recorded.  Have double checked the S/PDIF settings.  On VOICEWORKS, the mic button is off.  Any ideas?
