QuadCurve EQ - Alternative for Sonar Professional

Hi guys,
recently I have purchased the Sonar Professional. One of the feature I was looking for was the QuadCurve EQ. I do not really earn money with this so I do not want to upgrade to more expensive editions. Unfortunately, this feature is only included in Platinum.  Is there any alternative plugin to QuadCurve EQ which I could use? I'd like to get anything for realtime spectrum analysis. Any ideas?

Thanks and regards,
Jan

The free MEqualizer includes a spectrum analyzer, the paid version adds a spectrum sonogram. It is part of the MFreeEffectsBundle.

Yeah you'll find that 3rd party analyzer VST's are a lot more functional than the Quadcurve one, however I must admit I do love the convenience of the Quadcurve analyzer.

Forgive my ignorance but where in Platinum is this Quadcurve and what does it do exactly?

It is the EQ in the ProChannel which replaced the per-track Sonitus EQ.

ahh cool thanks Scook...thats why I didn't know about it. I rarely use Prochannel...still haven't got past using the efx box on  a per track basis yet. I guess one day I should really check out what Prochannel can offer

The Quad Curve EQ is available in Professional you just do not get the zoom spectrum analysis view.

The Toneboosters EQ is pretty good...and very cheap. I prefer Pro-Q myself, but it's pricey.

QuadCurve indeed is in professional without the zoom though.

I was holding out hope for a VST version of the QuadCurve EQ, but ultimately ran out of patience and ended up getting FabFilter Pro Q-2.  It's pretty spendy, but tons of cool features make it a pretty nice bang for your buck in my opinion.

Quadcurve without the zoom is ..meh. An alternative to the excellent but pricey Pro-Q is Meldaproductions MDynamic EQ or the MAutodynamic EQ. Matches Pro-Q feature for feature at a lower price. Both are on sale for 50% off often. If you pick up the free bundle, demos for other Melda products now come with installer.

Fabfilter is my go to EQ. More or less the only one I use.
Sounds great and the user interface makes sense.
Costs more that you might want to pay, but it is really good. Goes on sale from time to time.

I also love ProQ2. Been ages since I've used another EQ.
