Quantum Leap Pianos platinum- worth installing?

For the first time In a long time I have a couple of free days.

A while back I ordered QLP. My heart sank when I opened the box- about 40 double density DVDs, about a 250 gig installation. Has anyone dared to go thru with the installation. And was it worth it? I have Galaxy Vintage D, Emotional Piano, and Alicia Keys and if QLP is not streets ahead I think I will not bother with it.

If you've got the time, I would.

I'd guess you'll need to download the updates too, there have been bad samples replaced.

There's at least one of the pianos has a set of real staccato samples available on the mod wheel.
I understand your hesitation :-) that's one mother load of DVDs alright.

I avoided using them in earlier due to the bad samples, but since applying the updates I use them a fair bit.
You can tweak the sounds plenty with the 3 Mic positions and all the usual stuff you'd probably expect.

I've got the others you mention too, they're all a bit different (or a LOT) and have their place.
And hey, if you find you don't like them, it only takes seconds to delete :-).

    Have fun.

    Cheers - Cliff

Disc1 is the most important to setup following instructions..

All the discs are samples/instruments which I coul copy manually using three 2 cd/dvd and external drive.. setup library manually would be my advice.

It does take s bit to install it .. but I really love the quality of the sounds..
    I've never looked back!

Ya Play is the slowest loading sampler EVAR. Not sure why it takes so long. Supposedly it does background loading and such these days but it still takes forever to get stuff loaded compared to Kontakt n' such.
