Queensrÿche

So earlier this year my son and I got to see Queensrÿche open for the Scorpions in a 6,000 seat venue. Last night we got to see them at a little bar in Omaha called the Waiting Room. How often do you get to be right next to one of your guitar heroes as he plays your favorite songs? Silent Lucidity anyone?

One of the openers was Armored Saint. Not really my thing but I felt like I saw a bit of history and they had energy to spare. The singer is their original singer but I recognized him from his days with Anthrax.

I wore out at least two copies of Operation Mindcrime in my youth.

Strangely enough, i name-dropped Queensryche in another thread yesterday as one of the few bands I've seen and wish I hadn't (sometime in the mid-90s).
Glad you enjoyed it more than I did.

Understanding that everyone has a bad night, and maybe I just saw them on a very-off moment....

I know what you mean. I saw Motley Crue in the 80s on the Theater of Pain tour and it was awful - you could tell they were way too high to be on stage.

Saw them on the "final" tour and loved it!
