Question about Gmail

First of all, if anyone ever shuts down there internet here like they did in Egypt....well, that would be the end of life as I know and love it...

Anyway, I use gmail for most of my email.  Problem is, when I send a message, then I have to click back to the inbox.  Otherwise it just stays in that email I just sent.  Is there some way to make it go back automatically to the inbox?  Seems like that would be a simple thing to program, not that I know a thing about programming...

I think you may be stuck with that behavior - it's annoying, that's for sure.

Have you considered using Gmail through a mail client on your machine (Outlook or Thunderbird, to name a couple)?  There are instructions for using Gmail through either POP3 or IMAP in the account settings screen.  I do this, it makes things a lot easier because I never have to leave Outlook when I'm doing email.

grrrr... I was afraid of that.  I don't ever pop mail to another account, but I could consider it.  For some reason I like to keep things separate (business & fun).  Oh well. Thanks though, Russell. :-)

Isn't Gmail what CA$H DAWG uses? Maybe he could help you out Janet. ;)

    check your gmail.

    I think it's just a settings issue.

mgh--I've yet to figure out everything in 8.5 Studio.  I certainly don't need X1!

Herb, I was hoping one of you fine fellows could tell me which setting.  I mean, if there's one thing I've learned around here, it's that if one of you guys don't know the answer, then no one does.

    Same thing happens here Janet.
I never looked to see if there is a setting to adjust because it never really bothered me....

    Until now that is.

Thanks for pointing that out Janet.
