Question about PRV
Hi, in Sonar's PRV, is there a key that selects and plays the next note in a track, and another that does the same for the previous note? I like this fonction because it helps to detect double notes and it helps to navigate in a track in cases when there is mesures of silence on a track because it jumps to the next note even if it is many mesures away... If this key doesn't exist, how do you guys go about selecting notes and editing in the PRV? Thanks

You can step forward in the Event List with Shift+Spacebar, but not in the PRV. My main navigation tools in the PRV are Page Up/Down for previous/next measure, Tab and Shift+ Tab to next/previous note, and I just use the Spacebar to hear things. Correction. It's Ctrl+Alt+Spacebar to step through the Event List now. Shift+Spacebar is now Audition Selection. Obviously I haven't used it for a long time.

Ok, thank you.. Do you still manage to work fluently?.. I mean, I love everything about Sonar, but a part of me is allways wishing Sonar would do like everybody else and make this feature available... I feel it is as if they are stubburn and insist on prooving that this feature is not essential... It would be so easy for them to just put it in there, surely they know every other DAW has it...

It is not possible to launch Addictive Drums2 from the Command Center. There is a stand alone version of Addictive Drums 2 but it is not integrated into the Command Center. The default location for the 64bit stand alone version is "C:\Program Files\XLN Audio\Addictive Drums 2\Addictive Drums 2.exe" If you are trying to install AD2 here are the instructions http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013382/Addictive-Drums-2-Installation-Instructions. Next time please consider creating a separate thread, this has nothing to do with the original post.

I used to use step play quite a bit back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and the Event List was the only editing view in Cakewalk for DOS. In the PRV, you can easily see pitch, duration, velocity and the relative timing of notes to each other and to the M:B:T grid, and hear individual notes or by clicking them. But I usually want to hear everything it in the context of other notes and/or tracks, so normal playback with or without looping works best for me. And SONAR pretty much starts and stops on a dime in most cases, so I can pretty easily play just a note or two by double-tapping the Spacebar.
