Question about Theme Editor and Track Name Colors

I wish the theme editor made it easy to identity which color I'd like to change.  Some categories are very easy to identify and edit, others not so easy.

I am wondering about the relationship between the theme editor and the traditional color preferences in Sonar.  Does one override the other?  For example, with track names, the color chooser in preferences allows for distinct colors for midi tracks, instrument tracks and audio tracks.  But the theme editor also gives option for track name colors.  It seems that the preferences-colors overrides the theme editor choices.  Is this true with all colors in preferences, do they override the theme editor in all cases?

Thanks!

You can always run a test.

    1. Select a theme and change all colors to green in TE
    2. Take screen shots of every view
    3. Change all colors to yellow in Preferences
    4. Take screen shots of every view
    5. Compare screenshots

P.S. You may need a whole weekend to do this.

But seriously I would think that you can set a color in the TE and then override it in Preferences if they affect the same item.

Then if you set a Preference color and afterward change to a new theme it might override that color as well.
