Question about "Trim" in console emu

I was wondering if the trim knob on the console emu can replace the gain knob in the channel strip, or is this a separate process?

Did you spill something on your keyboard, or are you just happy to chat with me?

    Completely separate, as far as I'm aware, and the question is largely academic if you have EMU at the bottom of the Pro Channel
