Question about the metronome when sending it to a MIDI channel

Hello,

I am a new X3 user and am having problems understanding the metronome function. X3 will not send a metronome out to the MIDI channel I specify. I know it isn't a MIDI problem because it can automatically identify the notes I want to use for the MIDI channel I desire (MIDI in), and if I change a regular track to play on a certain MIDI track, the song data plays just fine (MIDI out). I need to use a MIDI metronome to an external keyboard, then route through a separate output for feed directly to my drummer. If I use the audio metronome, all band members hear it and it upsets the mix (I use a laptop and do not have a separate audio out). We use X3 mainly for bass.

It looks like it was a problem with my port list. Even though my MIDI interface was 1 on the list, it worked with port 2 (where my Behringer control was listed) which played though port 1.
