Question about upgrading to X1 Producer Edition

Hey everyone, this is my first post and I am happy to be a part of the community. I just had a quick question before I upgraded. I currently have Sonar 8.5 installed. Would it be better to uninstall the old version first, or just install X1 over it? Also, my old projects will be able to open on the new version, right? Thanks in advance!

Definitely do NOT install it over it. You can install it in its own folder (just choose the defaults) and it will coexist with 8.5 nicely. Don't uninstall 8.5 before installing X1 or you will lose all your settings from the older version.
