Question about wiring interfaces in sonar x3

Hi there, all im really wondering with this is if there are more efficient ways than others to route your interfaces? I have a firewire card with 3 spots. I have 3 interfaces, 2 of which are firewire and one adat. I DO NOT have an adat card in my computer although I will get one if it will speed up my system. I have the adat interface hooked up to the adat of my firewire interface, which is then is daisy chained to my firewire mixer which then runs to my computer. Would it be better for any reason to have the firewire ones daisy chained or running to their own spots in the firewire and the adat one going to its own card? Just a curious question really. Thanks!

If you can name the models of equipment you have, there can be more constructive recommendations.

With more then one interface there are 2 general problems:
    1) how they sync
    2) under Windows, only one ASIO driver can work with the DAW at any particular time.

Thanks for the reply. My last post was very thorough and I had zero responses. My pc is running Windows 7 professional, amd dual quad core processor, 16 gig ram. I have an audient asp 800 clocked to my presonus firestudio 26x26 at 44.1k (which I really only use as an adat in for the asp 800 and a gateway to my firewire pc card) Then the firestudio is daisy chained to my presonus studiolive 16.0.2 (which is my master clock) which then runs to my firewire card in my pc for a total of 30 usable channels after I use 2 for my main outs.

I am not an expert in Presonus hardware (I do not have any), but from general knowledge and the Internet, it seems like you are using the only wiring possible in this case (and according to https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/210042363-FireStudio-I-O-Limitations-and-Daisy-Chaining you are limited to Universal Control 1.2).

Right, thats what I've been hearing as well. So would i benefit from an adat card for my audient? I honestly dont want the firestudio, but it was my way use the audient in these circumstances, haha. The 16.0.2 I could care less about keeping either, but I do feel I want a mixer for the analog feel for my master fader but thats really it.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "ADAT card" and I forgot to ask what is the issue with current setup. Stability? Latency?

Yeah, just a sound card in the computer to run the adat interface straight to instead of daisy chaining everything. No problems with the setup as of of now, but the more I find out about the audio world the more I realise sometimes stupid things like this can make a big difference. Im no professional, so being just me in the studio Im just trying to make sure ive got everything running as efficiently as possible. Like I said, i was just curious if many other people do it that way, or if its good/bad practice for whatever reason.

Also, if you read my last post it states the problem I was having with lagging and/or stability. I believe ive since gotten that worked out, but this post kind of stemmed from that one.
