Question for Cakewalk regarding touch-screen displays:

I am one of the people who has had excellent luck with X1 on my system since day 1.
This is more of a feature/compatibility request concerning Sonar and touchscreen monitors.

Currently, the Sonar UI does not seem to be designed for use with a touch monitor.  The operation of the faders and knobs is jittery or jumpy- whatever you want to call it, it's not yet practical.

HOWEVER, many plugins made by cakewalk (like the vocal strip and percussion strip) work beautifully with the touch screen.  As a matter of fact, nearly all of my plugins work fine with the touch screen- the issue is mostly with the Control View and the ProChannel.

Can we expect in the near future that the ProChannel and Control View will also be compatible too?

Thank you!

I'm curious, what touchscreen are you using. My imagination is firing off now. 4ft x 1.5ft touchscreen at an angle......dddddroooooooooolllll

    I have a touch-screen... and it's nice for quick/easy things...
But I much prefer using a mouse to make "finer/smaller" adjustments.
    Touch-screen doesn't offer enough control/resolution (for me).
Point being, I'm not sure the issue is squarely in Cakewalk's corner.

    jim, i hear ya.
but the faders on plugins work fine, as do the faders on the profire 2626 mixer/panel.  the faders in the sonar ui DONT work.   they jump from top to bottom with no way of stopping in the middle.
the knobs on the ProChannell are the same way.

    djtrailmixx,
im just using an acer 23" to test the waters.   i have wrist issues with the mouse so i have to switch things up.  i have the mackie mcu pro control surface with the C4, but that doesnt work on the ProChannel.  thus my whining.

i predict that touchscreens will be the control surfaces of the near future.  they just have to work out the bugs :)
