Thanks Jim. The 6700HQ is definitely the faster clock speed single or multi core, the 6500u is a low power processor that's being used in alot of 2 in 1 laptops, and I assume they are doing so for increased battery life. I know that processor wise both of them are not even as powerful as my 4th gen i7. The improvements to new generations of i7 have been for low power for battery consumption which unfortunately makes them less powerful.
I'm just curious if any one here has some real world experience with the 6500u and Sonar. Generally I'm not working with more than 32 tracks, usually in the 16-24 range, so on my current laptop my CPU never gets above 25% on any single core. I do like the flexibility of some of the 2 in 1 devices, but I don't want to go there if Sonar is going to be laggy.
