Question: how to export all tracks and OMF

Hi,

I am recording this band and I need to export it to tracks so that they can later load into pro tools.
I wonder what is the best way to do it.

The sessions have a some 20 tracks only but most of them have layers of the several takes (some muted).
If I EXPORT TO TRACKS will sonar also export all the layers into separate tracks?

And, If I export it to OMF, will it open on PT with all the layers included in the thanks.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards

Joni

There are a couple ways to do this:

    1. Just export each track form zero, so they all line up in PT

    2. Export each track as a braodcast wave file. This way the audio file gets encoded with tthe timing info and this will make it all line up in PT

    3. Export as an OMF. BUT, the PT owner will need a $500 OMF converter in order to open the OMF file.

These are the ways to do it.
