Question on using TTS-1

Hi - Is there a way to play the drum kits on TTS-1 as with from example Session Drummer 2, (as a loop) or is it relegated to triggering each piece seperately with a keyboard /controller???

The TTS-1 is just a synth - no loops or auto-MIDI helpers. However, you can use any MIDI track to drive the TTS-1, since it's General MIDI. You can even use the pattern brush in the PRV.

With a little tweaking, the TTS-1 actually makes a pretty good drummer. Split your drum MIDI tracks into 4, one each for kick, snare, toms and cymbals. Route each one to the four outputs of the TTS-1. Put some reverb on the snare, a little less on the toms. Add some 2-3KHz to the snare,

Thanks - so I assume once these steps are taken, you plot out the drum pattern on each track with the keyboard - or do you "paint" it in place with drum map or piano roll view?

You can use piano roll view (PRV) or staff view to create drum tracks for TTS. Whichever you prefer best.

sure.... I quit doing parts "by hand" myself, some time back... it was just to time consuming and since I'm not a drummer, creating a really interesting part one note at a time was near impossible.

use whatever you have. session drummer is good, I chose Jamstix.
