Question regarding Waves "WOLI" installer...

I'm thinking about picking up some newer Waves plugs during the 4th of July sales.  In the recent past I've gotten several of the single "blowout" plugs as well as the Kramer MPX.  I quiet often have trouble with Waves "WOLI" installer so I figure I may not be using it correctly.  Although the installer instructions seem to allude that you can install "just" the plugs you want to, when I do this occasionally some or all of my other already installed version 8 plugs no longer work until I reinstall them as well.  This seems counter-intuitive.  I also have several version 7 plugs that I've never upgraded to version 8 (due to Waves draconian WUP, etc...) and they never seem affected.  In any case, can anyone give me a definitive answer as to whether I should install JUST the plug/s I'm adding OR do I need to install ALL version 8 plugs again every time I add another Waves plug??

When you do the WOLI dance with your newly purchased plug in(s), you HAVE to select your existing plug ins from the list , anyway I found that out the hard way ...
BUT if you have a demo ilok license of a product and purchase the full license, you do not have to re-install the plug .. that was nice .

Also there was an issue with the MPX tape plug not installing correctly over on GS, and the fix was do downlaod a microsoft package and run it with existing ones in a particular order, search the MPX thread over there if your interested.

I don't understand the mystery of the WaveShell DLL, first time I looked for the individual plug ins and didnt find them  in my VST folder, I was freaked out , but they showed up in my plug in manager scan ..its voodoo
