Questions about VST migration to Platinum

I do like how the Plugin Mgr sorted the VST3 products out.  When I view the VST2 plugs in the menu layout, almost all registered plugs are grayed out.  They show up apparently fine in the FX flyout window once i checked Default All Plugins.  It's a shame cause I spent some time building new categories for the VSTs in X3e... so i take it this is the new format for layout files.  I can add a registered plug to the new layout menu and it appears normal, but the greyed out plug still is visible.
Should i remove all greyed out plugins and redo my entire VST2 layout like i did in X3e?  or if i load up my layout file (.pgl) that was in X3, will that remove the VST3 folder? or will it stay intact by enabling the Sort VST3 Plugins by Category?
