"Questions"-first song in Japanese

http://www.sonarama.com/1.0/zh/c06/205/questions.mp3

I hope this is ok. I sing ok in English, but in Japanese I can sing from my heart. Here are the English words. Written by Philip Johnson and produced by Mike D-guitarist and drummer that work with Michael Japan. (with a little help from Michael J). Of course recorded in Sonar.

Will I (F)smile again? Will I (Dm)love again?
Will the light(Bb)come into my (Am)eyes some (Dm)day?
Will this (Gm)lonely, empty feeling go (C)away?

Can a (F)broken thing, a for(Dm)gotten thing,
Ever (Bb)laugh & sing like a (Am)child once (Dm)more?
Can a (Gm)bird with broken feathers ever (C)soar?"

Chorus 1
(Bb)If these (F) kinds of questions (Dm)ever cross your (Am)mind,(C)
And you're (F)crying 'cause you (Dm)feel so left (Gm)behind,(A)
Don't you (Dm)worry, don't you (Gm)fear,
Loving (C)Jesus is right (F)here,
(C)And He (Bb)knows just how to (C)wipe away your(F) tears.

Verse 2
"Can the (F)lost be found? Can I (Dm)be unbound?
Can the (Bb)lovely sound of sweet (Am)melo(Dm)dy
Come a(Gm)gain into my life, & set me (C)free?

Can a (F)fool be wise if he (Dm)tries & tries?
Can he (Bb)recognize what is (Am)truth at (Dm)last?
Can he (Gm)overcome the failures of his (C)past?"

Chorus 2
(Bb)If these (F) kinds of questions (Dm)ever cross your (Am)mind,(C)
And you're (F)crying 'cause you (Dm)feel so left (Gm)behind,(A)
Don't you (Dm)worry, don't you (Gm)fear,
Loving (C)Jesus is right (F)here,
(C)And He (Bb)knows just how to (C)wipe away your(F) tears.
And He (Bb)knows just how to (C)wipe away your(F) tears.

Musical interlude: (Dm-C-F-Dm-C-Gm-Bb-Bbm-F)

Verse 3
"Will I (F)ever be what I’m (Dm)meant to be?
Or just (Bb)endlessly wander (Am)on my (Dm)own?
Will I (Gm)ever find the road that leads me (C)home?"

Chorus 3
(Bb)If these (F) kinds of questions (Dm)ever cross your (Am)mind,(C)
And you're (F)crying 'cause you (Dm)feel so left (Gm)behind,(A)
Don't you (Dm)worry, don't you (Gm)fear,
Loving (C)Jesus is right (F)here,
(C)And He (Bb)knows just how to (C)wipe away your(Dm) tears.

Don't you (Bb)worry, don't you (C)fear,
Loving (Am)Jesus is right (Dm)here,
And He (Bb)knows just how to (C)wipe away your(Dm) tears.(C-Bb-C-Dm-C-Dm-C-Dm)

It's nice to be a part of the forum. Have a wonderful day.

Keiko, sore wa bou sugoi kakyoku desu!
Bah, my japanese is to bad to say anything more than that, which I'm sure is already filled with flaws :p
I really like it :) Though I personally feel that Chinese sounds more beautiful, I'm still very fond of japanese (dont take it as an offense, japanese sounds a lot like danish, which i also dont like :p ). Though I'm sure I heard in there something about killing, or being killed, or dying or something, which I dont see anywhere in the english lyrics :s Anyway, nicely done :) Me likes :)

    Keiko,

    Keiko,
It is so nice to see and hear that you have joined us. Please be sure to stick around. You'll find, as have I, that this forum is not only filled with people that become your freinds, in very short order, but they also offer very helpful, honest critiqueing.

Your song and style has been place in my iTunes favorites.

Several years ago I began writing a song called "Trip to the Orient". It never got out of its concept phaze becuase of one very important, but missing element, (the feminin orientle voice singing in the native in answer to the masculin of the US native speak). After having listened to your song "Questions", "Trip to the Orient" came rushing back to mind and its concept phaze is now complete but would still need that which would be its necessary, though only half, element.

As time allows I will finish its writing and post it up. If you happen to see it, please take a listen to see if the necessary half, when translated to Japanese can be sung in the way you've stated above.

    Thank you,
    JA

Keiko, I have the same question as does Zep

Zeplin, I clicked on your link to take a listen to your music but had no success. Could you direct me to any links.

I realize that from time to time ones' site must be reconstructed and that it is quite possible that you are in this process now. I myself, at the present time, am in such a process and people have been complaining that they can't find my music. I've been shifting it from place to place until I find its right place.

Did the site not load?

    Keiko,
    Absolutely beautiful, very moving.

Although the instrumentation and arrangement are excellent, it was your voice alone with the piano that I found most profoundly moving.

Once it a rare while, I'll hear a piece of music that sweeps me up and totally transports me to some other place. This is one of those.

Ed's links are working now. The problem must have been a temporary one at SoundClicks.

But when I click on "Would It Be" on your site, I'm just getting the http://www.philip-zeplin.com/music/news.php page refreshed and nothing else.

That you are using php it may be time to check into aspx. It outdates php and asp by a long shot and is more powerful.

What does 'Omoshiroi desu ne' mean?

Actually I'm not sure what kind of car it is - saw it in London, just sitting up on a container, so snapped a photo since I had a wee camera on me at the time. No sadly, I just drive another boring noughties car, it's much the same as all the others on the road, except in a garishly unpleasant colour! Would like a car more like this one though!

That's wonderful Keiko, you have a very rich and warm tone. The violin and flute interplay nicely with your lyrics.

Curventicle's car icon is a GT6, a late 60s Triumph. I cite the 240Z (Fairlady) when I try to describe mine to people as they have a simlar overall shape. I still have mine and think a 2000GT would be a good addition!

Translation: Zeplin, How can you say that Japanese is like Danish, it's not even close, lol

Sorry guys couldn't resist my self.

Thank you but I am far from perfect. This experience has been encouraging for me though, to hear from other musicians that they like my voice. I always have battles over singing because I compare. I don't have anything else right now. I will try to post some. I am working on a CD with Michael Japan, and Mike D. who helped produce this one but it won't be done for awhile.
