Quick Help on Birthday Poem

Any input for my birthday poem to Boney would be greatly appreciated! Here's what I have so far.

The Time of year is here my dear to say what I need to say

To tell you how I feel my dear each and every day

A blessing you have been for me I cherish in every way

For all the pleasures we have in store you see are more than I can say

So on this day My dear I tell you I LOVE YOU

Let the memories we come to share

Show our hearts grow to beat as one and my joy of having you there.

The time of year is here to give,  you a  birthday cheer
To tell you how I feel and will,  for all our years.
A blessing you truly are,   I cherish every day.
And a cake with candles shining bright for a wish
and something I'd like to say..

I love you dear,   you brighten up my life-
So blow out,  the candles shining bright
for wishes all meant for you.
And I will smile and feel a man when I look into your eyes
And we will know as our love is true,   as we celebrate your life.

I don't know Bill....just what I was inspired to write after reading yours.
I really don't write, Jeff does, so sorry for whatever's wrong.

Bill, you need to get some classy "Roses are red, violets are blue" prose action going down in there.

Try a limerick.  The ladies love a good limerick for their birthday.

    How about this ...

I got a girl named Boney Moronie.
She's as skinny as a stick of macaroni.
Ought to see her rock and roll with her blue jeans on.
She's not very fat, just skin and bone.
But I love her and she loves me.
We're all happy now as we can be.
Making love underneath the apple tree.

Well, I told her mama and her papa too
Just exactly what I want to do.
I want to get married on a night in June,
And rock and roll by the light of the silvery moon.
Cause I love her and she loves me,
We're all happy now as we can be.
Making love underneath the apple tree.

She's my one and only, she's my heart's desire.
    She's a real upsetter, she's a real live wire.
Everybody turns when my baby goes by.
She's something to see, she really catches the eye.
I love her and she loves me,
We're all happy now, as we can be.
Making love underneath the apple tree.

    ---------------

Or maybe play a nice slow love song for her. One that's very rare ...

    Say You Love Me

Cover version of an old 50's song by me and a bud in NJ. Previously unreleased.

    Hi Janet!

Her name is Sandra. The boney name is from when I was posting those car pictures and how we "borrowed them" for a while. So the names of Boney(her) and Claude(me) were used. She's the one I was talking about from Texas when we when for lunch that day.

P.S. I gave the cars back

I may have blown it! I just got off the phone with her and she asked me if I got a cake. I said yes and she asked " Are there candles because I want to make a wish" and I said "Well I couldn't find that many candles to put on the cake".

    D'OH!!

Tell her you needed a lot of candles because you want to grant her hundreds of wishes.

    Edit:
Forget her age in all conversations until she asks about it or brings it up then say "Your still 18 to me."

    Skip Whitman and Gore...

This is an occasion when you need Ben Jonson:

Drink to me, only, with thine eyes,
    And I will pledge with mine ;
Or leave a kiss but in the cup,
And I'll not look for wine.
The thirst that from the soul doth rise,
Doth ask a drink divine :
But might I of Jove's nectar sup,
I would not change for thine.

I sent thee, late, a rosy wreath,
    Not so much honoring thee,
As giving it a hope, that there
    It could not wither'd be.
But thou thereon didst only breathe,
And sent'st it back to me :
Since when it grows, and smells, I swear,
    Not of itself, but thee.

    (The title is, "For Celia")

If this doesn't get you out of trouble, it should at least keep you from having to sleep in the garage...

I asked her where she wanted to go eat. My choice was a fancy steak house. She said" Let's go the the best Mexican Dinner place in town". Is there something us guys don't or should know about Mexican food? I noticed yours disappeared real fast.
