Quick Z3ta+ 2 question...

Thinking about picking up Z3ta+ 2 but was wondering...
 
If I have the old 1.5 version in a project will it load the new version in it's place or will I need to have both installed to recall sounds in projects that use 1.5 version?

    You can have both installed and used.  Note that Z3TA 2 has presets that pretty well mimic the original ones - and in their own sub folder.  It won't do micro-tuning yet - that is supposed to be added in an update.

    Yeah I'm aware I can have both installed. I guess my question is more about if having both installed is actually necessary. Basically, to keep clutter down I'm wondering can I install version 2 and remove 1.5, or will my old projects still be looking for the 1.5 version rather putting version 2 in place of the old one.

    You will need to reassign each instance in each project to the new version otherwise Sonar will be looking for the older version.  Once the project is saved you'll not have to reassign them again.

    You might want to make certain that the patches in the new version sound close enough for your tastes to the older version before deleting it.

    Ok thanks, so basically it will be like a completely new instrument rather than an upgrade.

    the new version has the old patches as I said before.  Because of differences they may sound a little different - not much, but maybe too much.  You'll just have to try it.
