Quick question about using Sonar to sync audio to a video

I friend who uses Sonar also had a situation where he had a video filmed at an event where the video guy didn't get the video started on time and the audio precedes the video.  So, the question is -- is there a way to offset the video when you load it into Sonar such that he can have the audio start and sync the video where it starts?

To my knowledge there is no automated way in sonar. One could duplicate the audio track from the video and slide that forward or ba kward and then mute the original sound

Actually you can do this.  Import the video, then right click on it & select properties.  There you can set a start time for the video.

I personally line up the wave forms between the audio track in the video and the audio I recorded and then I mute the audio in the video.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thanks all for the help.  The answer from Mcgoo was what I ended up with.  For anyone else who encounters this issue, you may have to fool around with displaying the audio in M:B:T to find out where you need to offset the video because the Start Time in the Video Properties is only in that format.  Looks like that ought to do the trick.
