Quick question regarding Microsoft Word 2010
Does anyone know why the various 'Case' options for text aren't considered part of the 'Formatting' of that text?
For example, if I was typing out a tutorial, and I decided I wanted each paragraph header to be in a larger font, in bold and a different colour to the main text body, the procedure is pretty straightforward: I would format one header as I wanted them all to look, then put the cursor inside it, double click the Format Painter and quickly apply the format to the rest of the headers (I know there are ways to do this using the format options, but bear with me).
However, if I'd typed the headers in Sentence Case and wanted to change them all to Uppercase, the Format Brush obstinately refuses to carry this 'Uppercase' format to the text I select afterwards.
The only way I can find to make the Format Brush transfer Uppercase formatting is to open the Font dialogue and check the All caps box.
Is this how it's supposed to work? It seems a bit counterintuitive and long-winded to me.
