Quickbooks / Electronic invoicing question

Doing some research...  Does anyone here happen to do electronic invoicing using their mobile phone (either Android or Apple) and Quickbooks?

I'm trying to understand all the pieces and parts involved.

Thanks!

Craig as someone who operates professionally and runs a business I still find the best option is to create a word document and email that to clients. They may want to print it out at their end for what ever reason but also you can put a copy inside a folder on your system as well which really helps around Tax time. Then you have a full an accurate record of all invoices you have sent in one safe place.

That's what I do with my own businesses, but that's not what my current customer wants to do (or have me find out how to do)!

    Thanks for the reply though!

More specifically, one aspect of their business is to travel around in a large van that they sell goods from so if they can use their phone to generate an invoice (which they would print with a bluetooth printer in the van), then they can bill their customers immediately.

We regularly email clients invoices using Quickbooks...but not on cell phones. If you've got questions, just PM me and I'll let our office manager take a whack at them.

The resolution turned out to be simple.  My customer thought he had the online version, but it turns out he only downloaded the desktop version from the internet.  If he migrates to the online version, then he can do what he wants.

But thanks for the offer My Ol' Pal!

Online's always sounded like the way to go but my accountant told me not to switch for some reason I can't remember. Quickbooks desktop is absolutely a PITA when it comes to accountants and versions. When I upgraded to 2014 or whatever it is now, the accountant asks me "why did you do that, we can't open your company file until our office has upgraded to 2014 which we're not doing for a while."

Sounds like you have a cheap accountant!  Hope he's not charging you a lot.

Actually I get a pretty good deal. I suppose I can't really blame them for not wanting to upgrade their whole system just because some bozo client decided to upgrade his office computer. The blame really lies with Quickbooks for not making company files back compatible.
