Quiet Fans?

Is noctua still the king of the quiet fan? Does anyone have any other suggestions (cheaper perhaps?)
My stock case fans are starting to bother me with their throttling noises. Thought this would be a good place to ask.

    Large, low-RPM fans are what you want.
    Numerous companies make them including Noctua.
    Compare specs and choose accordingly...
     
    Unless you're working in a scenario with extended periods of high CPU use (ie: video rendering), you don't need case fans spinning at high RPMs.
