Quiet Men (Ultravox Cover) featuring Christian Granquist from 'The Atom'

This is a cover of John Foxx's Ultravox -  'Quiet Men' from Systems of Romance (1979)....

The first part is a bit of a mash-up of the synth solo and the beginning of 'Slow Motion' but then it goes into 'Quiet Men' proper after that...

    Had to give this a listen - first gig I ever saw was Ultravox and The Motors Still one of my favourite bands, in both incarnations.

    This is a good version, the intro was a nice touch.

    In the beginning I heard some distortion from peaking but still a cool track

    Must admit, Ultravox was'nt a band i listened to much at the time and i'm not familiar with this track, but i did have John Foxx's Metamatic on cassette which i played a lot. This sounds really good and the vocals are definitely in the ballpark of John Foxx's vocals. I liked this quite a lot and maybe i'll have to investigate their earlier stuff on youtube sometime. I too noticed the peaking distortion at the start and it's maybe compressed a bit more than i'd like, but all-in-all it's a great cover.

    I never heard this either. It sounds like it distorting or it's just an abrasive sound I don't like.

    It sounds like a good performance all around. 1979? This is ahead of it's time.

    Other than it sounds abrasive, well done!

    Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
