Qwerty keyboard changing patches on synth, very frustrating.

Whenever I press R to remind my track it is sending a program change to my JP-08 sound module and changing the patch. Any idea why? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are two sources for patch changes from Sonar: the bank & patch widgets on the track headers, and events in a track. If you are changing the patch at your JP-08 front panel, it will be overridden when the transport next runs if either of those is in your project.

You can set the bank and patch widgets to "none" and you can delete any patch/bank events from your tracks. If you don't see the patch and bank widgets in your track headers, set the track control dropdown (above/right of the track headers) to "All".

    Welcome to the forum!

Do you have patch/controller searchback ticked under edit>preferences>project>midi?  Sonar may be resending an earlier patch change.
