RAIN... (no not you Rain... the wet stuff)

It has rained so much here in the SE USA that I feel like there should be giant ferns growing everywhere. It has been raining at least twice a week, usually more for like a month. Rained all last night with thunder. 50% chance today, temp steady at 43F. Rain tomorrow, sunny Sunday (I will believe it when i see it, Rain again Monday.

I figure the rain will leave here on Sunday, go to Daytona, then come back here on Monday. The moss in my yard seems to love it... I am getting tired of it.

I wonder why rain does not seem to bother birds... and why don't their little stick ike legs freeze?

Signed soggy...

Yeah, I've been out there... a long time ago. I guess you get used to it. We rarely have days of steady widespread rain but a downpour every few days lately. I will be glad when summer gets here.

Tha's a LOT of rain Zungle...

No rain but plenty of snow with a high of 28.

I hope the east coast doesn't get any more flooding this year. Take care!

Same here as Zungle... not quite as much rain, though lots of ye olde Oregon drizzle (east of the Cascades OTOH, it is more high desert)... but even more cloudy days without sun than the Seattle area.  Woohoo! Woot!  I do sometimes wonder what that strange yellow disk that seems to be up in the sky every now and then might be.

Is it a UFO by chance?  (unidentified frying object)

Can't stand that area.  Hey, that's the same place that has all the highly radioactive tanks that are leaking too!

I'd make fun of them, except that those things are probably going to leak right into the Columbia river that I'm looking at right now since it runs past my house...  *Sigh*

Of course, I should note that where I live is MUCH nicer than up where Zungle is.  We get a lot of "nice" rain (the kind that you don't mind walking in and it keeps everything green), but we don't get that annoying misty-type drizzle all the time.   It's no wonder so many of the famous serial murderers come from this area - if you don't like this type of weather it can be very depressing (I happen to love it ).

craigb... also really like the weather.  OTOH, there are those who do struggle with SAD (for those not in the NW... the new name for Seasonal Attitude Disorder - depression from endless grayness).

Seriously, and actually very sad, Alaska in generaly has one of the highest rates of alcoholism among other problems due to the long winters.

@Zungle - maybe it's because I've had to deal with too many tools that live in that area (come to think of it, I don't like Tacoma either for mostly the same reasons!).  I've only actually been to the Tri-Cities area about half-a-dozen times and always for some regional playoff or tournament (darts), so I've never really taken the time to check it out.  But, I know  the weather they get is not what I'd like.

@Noldar - That makes sense, having been part of a company that tried to help bring power to parts of Alaska, I heard a lot of stories about living up there.  When you go for days without seeing the sun, you're freezing AND your power keeps going out, what are you going to do?  Stay inside and try to stay warm.  Doesn't take long before adding that "anti-freeze" into your system becomes an addiction...  I talked with some of the guys in the Delta Junction area last year when they had a "cold spell" and they were playing it off as if it wasn't that big of a deal (it was "only" -62 F!).  Brrrrrrr!!!!!

I wouldn't mind being at a little higher elevation overlooking a lake (right now I look south which means way too much sun for my liking).  Unfortunately, most of those types of locations around here come with mountains that could explode next to 'em!

Here's my current view ("current" referring to location, not season! lol):
