RAM Memory SOLVED
It shows that I have 11 GB RAM on Sys Info. It was showing the 12 I installed a while back. I will pull and reinsert the sticks to see if that helps

Memory Stock is telling me that if it was one of the 2 GB sticks bad it would show 10 GB ram and not 11 GB. Having 11 means a PC problem. I suppose I have to find a PC repair store now

I run all the above and no viruses etc. Thanks !! My PC isn't running slow or bad now. Sonar Support helped me reset what Microsoft Support did and that cleared up the erratic behavoir. I'm kinda at if it ain't broke don't fix it. It shows 11 GB RAM but no problems.

What does your BIOS say about the installed memory? If it is flaky in the BIOS try a BIOS reset. If it still persists it is likely a hardware problem. If your BIOS says you have 12 GB and Windows says 11 GB "installed" it may be a Windows problem. It can't hurt to run a memory test using Linux instead of Windows. M emtest 86+

Thanks David FTI! Someone brought up that the video may be in auto mode in bios and that's where the 1 GB Ram is being used. I'll did run the Memtest 86+ but It didn't finish.

I thought this might be the usual display issue where you buy something that's advertised using one K as 1,000 (for example), then install it where one K is actually 1,024 which naturally makes it look like you have less. Hard drives were famous for this (plus when they were formatted, more space was used so less was available). However, after reading your first line that it initially did show 12 GB installed, I can only presume that your PC is old and already losing it's memory. (As for real, usable advice, if Slart's suggestion doesn't pinpoint the issue, it might be time to take it to a Geek to have him figure out why 1 GB is not being recognized. )

I think, if I were you, if the computer is running fine, and you're not maxing out when running programs and virtual instruments (which I would think 11Gb would be plenty), I would chalk it up as some kind of quirk and leave it alone.

Microsoft Online Support had checked the maximum memory button in system configuration and set it to 0.
