RECORDING ISSUES

For over a week now I have been trying to straighten out my Project 5 mixing issues.

I have all instrument tracks recorded and mixed at the volume I like at the moment , problem is  all those tracks are BLEEDING into my vocal audio track when I turn on record so when I sing music is also being recorded at the same time when it should be my voice only .
Anyone know how to correct this , this has been a ongoing problem with P5 thats why I used Music Studio 12 to record my vocals.
I really wanted to record and mix everything in Project 5 music and vocals but this is a problem .

Thanks check back later ,cheers!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but wouldn't the solution be to play the music through headphones while recording the vocals so that the mic doesn't pick up speaker output?

Thats what I'm doing , I never record my vocals without the use of headphones.
I'm not sure how or where its picking up the other tracks .
Maybe it has something to do with my mixer or soundcard this really puzzles me , I better look in my booklet for clues unless anyone else has any suggestions .

CASE CLOSED ! I located the problem it was the way I had my MIXER setup one output send cable was in the wrong spot .
The directions for this mixer sucks just a quick set up no detail information .
I started with my soundcard and then moved into my MIXER removing one cable at a time untill I finally found the cable causing this issue.
Its now working great , crisp and clear !
